NBA's Thurl Bailey

Thurl Lee Bailey, nicknamed "Big T", was born April 7th, 1961 in Washington, D.C. He is now a retired NBA basketball player. HIs professional basketball career lasted from 1983 to 1999. In the NBA he played with the Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves. He went to college at North Carolina State University and was a top player in the Wolfpack's miracle run to the 1983 NCAA Championship.

He was the 7th overall pick in the 1983 NBA draft, drafted by the Utah Jazz. It was said that he was chosen for the quality of his character as well as his great ability to play basketball. This started his 16 years as a professional basketball player. Twelve of those years being in the NBA.

Since his retirement, Big T has found a variety of thigs to keep him busy, and busy he is. There's his singing career which include a number of concerts and CD recordings, his various business ventures, and his many invitational speaking duties.

Then there are dozens of church activities he attends for his church, The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, broadcasting duties, providing commentary for Utah Jazz and University of Utah games. And then of couse, there is his family - a wife and four kids.
